Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1 - Welcome to Costa Rica Arrival to SJO International Airport. You will be met by our Tour Guide and transported to Best Western Irazu Hotel or Occidental Torremolinos. There you will have the rest of day at your leisure to enjoy of the Hotel pool and amenities. A tour in the evening will take you exploring the rich Gay Night Life that San Jose City offers.
Day 2 - tortuguero canals ( B, L, D ) After Breakfast, you will travel with a bilingual naturalist guide on an air conditioned bus. You will be driven through Braulio Carrillo National Park, where you`ll have the opportunity to see beautiful views and abundant rain forest vegetation. Stop for breakfast on the way at Selva Tropical Restaurant and also enjoy its Butterfly Garden and a variety of tropical flowers. After breakfast the trip will continue to Caño Blanco deck driving by banana plantations on the way.
At Caño Blanco, you will board a covered boat that take you to Laguna Lodge, passing the Tortuguero canals, and arriving between 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. At the lodge, the staff will be waiting for you with a refreshing cocktail, your rooms will be assigned and the guide will explain the afternoon activities. After lunch -the visit to the Turtle Museum of the C.C.C. (Caribbean Conservation Corporation) and to the colorful Tortuguero town.
You will return to the lodge around 5:30 p.m. and have free time to enjoy the pool, the bar service and prepare for your dinner. Dinner is served at the Lodge from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and then rest of the night will be at your leisure to enjoy the surroundings, pool and bar.
Day 3 - TORTUGUERO canals ( B, L, D ) An optional 6:15 am tour is available to admire the awakening of the wildlife of Tortuguero. Return for breakfast (served between 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.). Then another boat tour to admire the canals of Tortuguero National Park. This is a wonderful and interesting experience where you can see abundant tropical flora and fauna. Return to the lodge for lunch and free time for a siesta, enjoy the pool or go for a walk on the beach. Another optional tour can take you to the canals or you may stay at the lodge and explore the private trails, visit the open butterfly garden or simply enjoy the pool. Dinner is at the lodge and the night is at your leisure.
Day 4 - SAN JOSE CITY ( B, L ) After breakfast, we will begin the trip back to San Jose around 9:00 a.m. The boat arrives at Caño Blanco around 11:00 a.m. Then our bus will be waiting for the drive back to San Jose. Stop en route for lunch at Selva Tropical Restaurant. Arrive at the Best Western Irazu or Occidental Torremolinos around 3:00 p.m. with the rest of day at your leisure to enjoy the Hotel facilities. Another guided Tour at night is provided for exploring some more of the rich gay night life of San Jose City.
Day 5 - LA PAZ GARDENS ( B, L ) After Breakfast, you will be transported to the World Famous La Paz Waterfall Gardens. Upon arrival, you will check in at La Paz 5 star Mountain Lodge. Then take a guided tour of the amenities of property, including the Butterfly Farm, which is the largest in the world. Visit the Humming Bird Garden with over 22 different species. Later, walk through the trails of complex, and enjoy it's exuberant Rain Forest Biodiversity and its 5 heart-stopping waterfalls.
Day 6 - LA FORTUNA ( B, D ) After Breakfast, land transfer is provided to La Fortuna town where the impressive and active Arenal Volcano is located. Check In at Hotel Arenal Paraiso. In the afternoon you may join an exciting Canopy Tour Adventure and afterward enjoy of the hot and relaxing waters of the Hot Springs Complex. The Hotel also offers great views of Volcano, acres of tropical gardens, and a fully equipped Massage Parlor & Spa. A Buffet dinner is served at Hotel`s Restaurant is included in the package. Lunch is on your own.
Day 7 - PLAYA MANUEL ANTONIO ( B ) After Breakfast, you will be transported to the world famous Manuel Antonio Beach. On the way, lunch is on your own at a good restaurant our driver will recommend to you. Check in at Hotel California or Hotel Villa Roca with leisure time to enjoy the hotel's facilities. In the evening dinner is on your own in one of the great restaurants in the town and you may spend the rest of the evening exploring the rich nightlife of Manuel Antonio.
Day 8 - PLAYA MANUEL ANTONIO ( B ) At 7:30 a.m., after Breakfast, take a tour of the beachfront Manuel Antonio National Park. Enjoy a guided walking through the nature trails and see the flora and fauna including Sluts, monkeys, many species of birds and the impressive Rain Forest. You will have leisure time to take a bath in the pristine waters or tan in the sun on the White Sand Beaches of the Park. At 2:00 p.m., after a great lunch on your own, you`ll go on an exciting Dolphin, and Whale Watching Tour in the Manuel Antonio Bay. You may do some snorkeling on the reefs, and also enjoy of the Multi-colored Sunset of Manuel Antonio, one of the best in the world. In the evening you will have leisure time to enjoy of the hotel facilities, and/or go on a Night Out Tour in Town. Dinner is on your own.
Day 9 - SAN JOSE CITY ( B ) After Breakfast, you may explore Manuel Antonio National Park on your own, or you may visit LA PLAYITA, the most famous Naturist Gay Beach in Costa Rica. In the afternoon we provide air transfer back to San Jose City and you will check-in again at Hotel Best Western Irazu.
Day 10 - ( B ) After Breakfast, you will be transported to the Airport for your Return Flight.
What's included: 9 nights of accommodation, specified meals, guided tour to the Gay Club or Disco, all land and water transfers within Costa Rica, National Parks entrance fees, naturalist tour Guide, all airport/ hotel transfers on scheduled arrival/departures dates only, and all the taxes are included.
